From Draper Utah Temple to Initimate Tropical Boho Summer Wedding

Life is all about how you handle plan B…. however, in the middle of a pandemic, it’s all about how you handle plan C, D… W… X… it’s just that crazy. Many of my couples this year have had to try and figure out how to have their dream wedding amidst all the restrictions and precautions from Covid. It’s definitely a challenging time. And I love how beautiful it is too.

When things don’t go according to plan, and we have to readjust, it really tests our character and our ability to communicate with others, especially the people we love! And this is life-long never-ending process! I’m so excited for Madison and Mitchell and the things they’ve learned through this process because I know it can only serve them!!

They had hoped and planned to get married in the Draper, Utah temple but they had to change their plans because of Covid. Instead, they had the most beautiful intimate Draper country club wedding with only their closest friends and family. Which is just another reason why I am LOVING restricted Covid weddings.

I feel like I get to see my brides and grooms be themselves more because they’re only around their closest friends and family. And when it was time for dancing, no one held back!! It was so beautiful it actually made me cry. Well, the love and fun was beautiful. The dancing…. was creative and hilarious!!

All the family from different walks of life came together to celebrate and party. Even grandpa let loose and busted some moves. The dancing was by FAR my favorite part of the day. And a moment that will always be pressed in my mind.

I want to have a family like that when I’m old. I want to see all my grand kids being silly together, being ok with embarrassment, and more than that, I want to be in on it WITH them!!

And one last highlight of the day… Madison and her dad had NEVER tried a Twinkie. When she was 12 years old, they made a pact that on her wedding day, they would share their first Twinkie together.

After the Daddy-Daughter dance, her dad pulled out the Twinkies and they took a bite. Dad immediately said “Yep, we haven’t been missing much!!”

All About the Details

I think I need to find someone like Madison to come and decorate my house. Her style is so elegant, modern, and and timeless. I don’t know if modern and timeless can even happen at the same time but it did! From tropical greens to gold to dove gray. It was perfect.

Madison wanted a tropical boho summer wedding that that’s exactly what she created. The wedding was decorated with large tropical greenery. Large monstera leaves, ferns, and other beautiful plants that I have no idea what they were (you’d have to ask their florists) were also added into the bouquets. The bright tropical greens made it feel so fresh and summery. And my favorite part?? The gold accents giving everything that boho feel. But I do have to take a moment to credit the bridemaids who were able to coordinate their dove gray dress so perfectly when they were found at different places!!

Dear Madison and Mitchell,

I know wedding planning was kinda crazy and that it didn’t happen exactly the way that you had probably envisioned… I just wanted to let you know how amazing it was though and how amazing you two are!! It was such a privilege to get to know the both of you and spend time with the people you love most.

Your relationships with others are truly amazing and I can tell how deeply you love and care for the people in your lives. You’ve given me a glimpse of what I hope to have some day in my own family and I am so grateful for that.
