I can’t remember what was going on, I just remember sitting on my bedroom floor, crying hysterically when a call came through. I almost didn’t answer it. I knew that my voice would quiver and that I wouldn’t be able to mask how I was truly doing. I answered, slowly lifting the phone to my ear. “Hello?” I said, “Hey!! How are you?!” came Lexi’s sweet voice… and I lost it. And it was ok. She just listened on the other side of the line while I went on and on about all the things. She was just driving and thought she’d give me a call….

You know those angels that we always are hearing about?? Lexi is one of them. It’s not like we talk on the phone every day. In fact, we’ve only talked a handful of times! She just felt like maybe she should call me, so she did.

She has one of the biggest loving hearts I’ve ever met, and I mean that!! She is always so thoughtful and caring, sending out thank you notes, and finding ways to share her bright smile with those around her. I just love her.

AND!!! She makes the BEST pies!! They are almost as good as her smile, almost. Definitely try one of them. I literally ate the whole apple pie by myself in one day. She has a little business called Flour Me Pie and she’s currently taking orders for Thanksgiving!!
