I almost feel like time isn’t fair. It’s slow when you want it to be fast, and too fast when you want it to be slow. This is one of those times where it’s just been too fast!! It only seems like yesterday that I was laughing with Abbey and Cris over our first call together. Tomorrow is bitter sweet. I am so incredibly excited that I get to spend the day with them as their wedding photographers in Salt Lake City, photographing their beautiful wedding day! And at the same time I’m sad, because that’ll be the close of our journey together.
Just a few weeks ago we met up at their wedding venue The Thomas S. Monson Center where I photographed their first look. I’ll never forget Cris, nervously shifting from side to side, anxious to take any photos because his heart was racing too much. He probably felt a strong mixture of excitement and nervousness as he waited for his bride to be.
To start off their session, they exchanged love notes back to back. With both of them studying English in college, this was so perfect for them. And then Cris turned around. It was only then that he was able to relax, laugh, and breathe again. Their first look was everything that it should have been. It was absolutely the perfect start to their journey as husband and wife. And I can’t wait for tomorrow, for the real journey to begin!!
