I’ll never forget when little 5 year old Jonny came up to me and said “Do you know what damage means?? Damage means LOTS of damage!” and proudly walked off, leaving me laughing till the point of tears. Now he’s this handsome young man, marrying his best friend, and treating her like a goddess and it was such a joy to witness it first hand!!

One of my favorite parts of temple weddings, is all the excitement and anticipation of all the guests as they wait for the newly wed couple to walk out of the doors! At the Provo City Center Temple, especially on a hot August day like theirs, people pace back and forth between the air conditioned gazeebo and the water fountain. It’s all just so much fun! The Provo City Center Temple was absolutely perfect and so beautiful that day with the clear blue August skies. When Jonny and Katelyn finally came out, everyone cheered and they came out with the biggest smiles I’ve ever seen and then they couldn’t STOP smiling!!

They had a beautiful reception in a relative’s backyard where everyone was able to sit and relax while eating good food. Towards the end of the night, Jonny and his buddy sang a couple songs to Katelyn as she sat wiping the tears from her eyes.

Their love is truly something special and one of a kind. They are so perfect for each other and I couldn’t be more happy for them!!
