Kelley Family | Big Cottonwood Canyon

Growing up, my dad always told me that good friends are far and few in between. Basically he was telling me that they were RARE. As I’ve grown up and have had friends come and go, I’ve realized that he’s quite right. Sure, I have lots a friends! But the kind that qualify for the “Best” label comes down to about 2 people in my life. Well, maybe 3 or 4 if you include my parents. But they are my fine husband and this beautiful lady here: Jacci.

We go way back, me and her. And maybe you’ve heard the story before because I tell it all the time. But once upon a high school job, we met scooping ice cream side by side at Cold Stone Creamery (my favorite creation is cookie batter ice cream with oreos and cookie dough) and we became friends. She started dating my sister’s boyfriend’s brother. Did you catch that?? Haha… Fast forward about 5 years and she found herself married to the brother and I found myself married to my sister’s boyfriend. GASP!!! Fast forward another 8 years and we both found ourselves divorced from the brothers and happily remarried to some incredible and handsome men.

It has been nothing short of amazing to watch Jacci through the years and then to watch her become a mother. She is so kind and loving and sweet. I’m so glad that her and Cory (a high school friend) came together to make this little family and this little Maylee. Isn’t she a DOLL?!

XOXO

Rachel
