Sometimes life has a way of flipping you upside down unexpectedly. No one ever gets married with the intention of someday getting divorced, but the sad truth is that it’s common because someone stops trying. And with all your shattered hopes and dreams, you somehow have to find a way to pick up the pieces and rebuild a life. Day by day, little by little, your life comes back together and you learn to work through all the hard and you start to dare to love again, to trust again, and ever so slowly a shattered heart gets put back together.
When you find that someone who makes you feel so whole after feeling so broken, it’s a miracle. I had only heard a little about Richard but when I met him and saw how sweet and good he was to my friend Lindsey, I knew I was seeing a miracle. One of those tender mercies from God. If there is anything that I have learned in life through my own divorce and remarriage is that God compensates for loss. He sends people into our lives at unexpected times that heal us and make us better than we were before.
I am just so incredibly happy for these two and I’m so glad that they found each other. They both deserve so much happiness and they have found it in each other. I wish the rest of the gang was here so I could show you their cute family. Between the two of them, they’ll have 5 beautiful kids!!
