A Utah adventure engagement session is my favorite way to start off my time with my couples! While many of them decide to stay fairly close to where they live, Utah has so much diversity in its landscape that it’s really not hard to make it an adventure. We just find an amazing outdoor location and start the fun!! And with Maren and Tristan, it was so incredibly easy!!

Though they went to highschool together, they never really knew each other or met until a mutual friend’s wedding reception. Though Maren and Tristan only talked for just a few minutes, a lasting impression was made.

During their brief conversation, Tristan learned where Maren worked and made it a point to strategically study nearby in hopes that he’d get a chance to chat in a more natural setting. Eventually Maren would pass by and say hello to the handsome nice man. Finally, one day, Tristan worked up enough courage to ask for her number.

Their first date was a dinner that lasted hours. They found it so fun and easy to talk and the date would have lasted all night if it weren’t for a homework deadline Maren was up against.

A couple weeks later — after seeing each other several more times — Tristan asked Maren if they could go on a walk to talk. Convinced that he was going to friend zone her, Maren was surprised when Tristan confessed he wanted more than just friendship. One month to the day after their first date, and after several more dates, they decided to make their relationship official.
