There wasn’t supposed to be snow, but if you’ve ever lived in Utah, you know that the weather just does what it wants! So our beautiful family fall mini sessions turned into a beautiful family winter mini session! I guess that’s great for Christmas cards though! Really though, you can’t complain too much about how our beautiful majestic mountains. At any time of the year, they are incredible and this family wanted to remember that as they moved across the United States.

Just a week before our session, I went and scouted out the location that I wanted to use up Big Cottonwood Canyon, it was incredible. And then the storm hit. I remember holding my breath as I contacted the mom to tell her the unfortunate news. But she was still thrilled to get her family photos done.

When they arrived for the session, we immediately got to work, since we only had about 20 minutes. There was lots of snuggles, laughter, and fun! And in the blink of an eye, our session was over!! The parents couldn’t believe it when we were done! Because it seemed like 5 minutes!

Their photos were a perfect reflection of how sweet and playful they all are! Shortly after delivering their gallery, the mom sent me this email:

“HOLY BANANAS!!!!!!!!

My husband and I are literally in tears and beside ourselves!!!!! These are the most amazing pictures we’ve ever seen!!!!! It’s like looking at the the best version of ourselves! We are beyond thrilled and really can’t tell you how blessed we feel to have you share your talent with us!   Thank you so so so sooooo much!

And I laughed, cried, and jumped up and down next to my desk. BEST email ever.
