About a month ago I traveled up the Alpine mountains to take some family photos. Something I haven’t done for months because of all the weddings I had. But with the fall leaves came a close of weddings and an opportunity for families.
We had a wonderful time playing up in the beautiful Utah mountains, running around in magical light. But the most magical moment was yet to come, for me at least.
I went home to begin the editing process and when I came to the photo of the dad tickling his son, I just started crying. Something deep within me was connecting to the moment of a father having a playful moment with his son, creating a memory, building a relationship, and creating trust that could span a lifetime.
And here I was, documenting it. Taking all of that and freezing it in time. A tangible memory. How precious this photo will be to that father and son… This is why I do what I do. I love connecting with amazing people like the Fairbanks but I love even more being able to document their lives and precious memories.
XOXO
