Megan + Alex Ogden Temple and Bellington Manor

December 29, 2016

On December 16th, I woke up early and looked out the window and the first thing I thought was “Rain?! REALLY??? It just HAD to rain!!! It couldn’t be beautiful fluffy snow?!” But no, it just had to rain. Me and the videograper were outside trying to get some pre-exit footage when all the sudden we were getting pelted by hail. Then it was a down pour… It was definitely crazy December weather but we made the best of it and got a few beautiful shots. So grateful that we went to the temple for pre-wedding formals, their Ogden Temple Formals, and got some amazing shots because we did not want to stay out in the elements that long on the wedding day. By the end of the day, we had endured rain, hail, snow, AND sleet. Congratulations, Utah, for having the most ridiculous and unpredictable weather!

After some amount of disappointment due to weather, it was refreshing to be inside a nice warm building with laughter and smiles. I love seeing friends and family take care of the bride but I’m not going to lie, Alex stole the show. He was so calm and happy the whole day long. The only thing that mattered to him was that Megan was happy and he did everything he could to keep a smile on her beautiful face.

Their wedding reception was held at the Bellington Manor in Ogden. I had never been there but it was so incredibly beautiful and the staff there was more than amazing. I was incredibly impressed with how kind and hard working everyone was there. And the food for the luncheon was more than divine. And Kaytee Stice, owner of Roots Floral, made incredible arrangements for all the tables, the boutonnieres, and bouquets.

And this is where I started crying… There was nothing sweeter than Megan interacting with her younger brother. She loves him so much and he adores her back. I was feeling all sorts of warm fuzzies watching them together.

After some delicious chocolate salted caramel cake, the two of them ran off to go on their honey moon in Park City.
